Divisional Secretariat Office - Bandarawela

Hela heroes created in Badulla district in Uva plain surrounded by mountains, the cold rain under the sparkling city of Bandarawela and local people acclaimed the region. The city was built from a cold hurricane and built on an agricultural-based economy.
The Bandarawela Divisional Secretariat is a peaceful region with 65.6 Grama Niladhari Divisions representing all the 35 Grama Niladhari Divisions. Accordingly 74% Sinhalese, Tamils 20%, Muslims 5.6%, Burghers 0.17% and Malay people 0.06%. Representatives of urban, semi urban, and rural sectors have made their livelihoods in addition to agriculture, as a sector, industry, public sector and privatesector.
The Divisional Secretariat is dedicated to fulfill the administrative requirements of all these people in accordance with state policies. It was a very difficult task to provide services from the restricted premises with limited space at the time of carrying out this task. In this background, the new hope for the Divisional Secretariat, Bandarawela Divisional Secretariat, by Mrs. DM Miss Indra Dissanayake, was to create an office space that could be carried out efficiently and effectively by providing modern facilities and services to the people. This proposal was commenced with the full support of Badulla District Secretary Dhanapala Thanthirige's full sponsorship, with the agreement of the Ministry of Public Administration and Treasury.
As a result of the difficulties encountered by the office, the office staff were able to provide an effective service from the limited space office from the limited space office in 2007, to the national level in 2008 and to the first place in Badulla district from the office management competition. By 2010, the Badulla Office is in the Office Management Competition Rikkayen first place, because the face of difficulty abhīyōga numerous lan̆gāvuyē to target us as a novel kind of formal EIA coal excellent skills at national level, we have success on the value of some polish. At the dedication of the people in various fields, by the divisional secretariat, we were very impressed by the collective empathy of the office staff, field officers, Grama Niladharis and Samurdhi Development Officers in the same chain.
